Pensacola Museum of History at the University of West Florida, 330 S. Jefferson St. and part of Historic Pensacola, was built in the Renaissance Revival style in 1907 as Pensacola's city hall. The elaborate building houses three floors of changing exhibits about the region's history, architecture and archeology. One gallery is dedicated to showcasing the Civil War; the themes portrayed change in order to rotate collection pieces. The “Cabinet of Curiosities Series” highlights assorted collections from the area, while the Trader Jon Exhibit highlights Pensacola's military presence in Pensacola.
