St. Petersburg Museum of History is at 335 Second Ave. N.E. Permanent exhibits from a collection of 32,000 artifacts and 8,000 digitized photographs focus on the history of the Pinellas Peninsula, the 1914 origination of the first commercial airline flight in St. Petersburg, the 1920s tourist boom and the area's diverse heritage and neighborhoods. Permanent exhibits include Schrader's Little Cooperstown, highlighting the history of baseball and its importance to the area. Temporary exhibits, a student learning center and an archival library for history research also are available.

Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
