John Gorrie Museum State Park

John Gorrie Museum State Park is 1 blk. e. of US 98 on Gorrie Square at 46 Sixth St. at jct. Ave. D. The museum is named for Dr. John Gorrie, recipient of the first U.S. patent for mechanical refrigeration in 1851. A replica of Gorrie's ice-making machine and area history exhibits are featured.
