Clearwater Marine Aquarium

Clearwater Marine Aquarium, 249 Windward Passage, is a rescue, rehabilitation and release facility specializing in dolphins, otters and sea turtles. Marine exhibits, a theater, underwater viewing tanks, daily ecocruises and animal care presentations are offered. The facility is home to Winter, a tailless dolphin able to swim freely with the help of a prosthetic tail. Winter's Dolphin Tale Adventure, 300 Cleveland St., features scenes and props used in “Dolphin Tale,” a movie starring Winter. A behind-the-scenes tour focuses on efforts to rescue, rehabilitate and release marine animals. A complimentary shuttle provides transportation between the two facilities in spring and summer; phone ahead to confirm schedule.
