Miami Seaquarium, 4400 Rickenbacker Cswy., offers shows, presentations and marine mammal exhibits. Divers hand feed reef fish and moray eels in a 750,000-gallon saltwater aquarium. Popular shows feature TV dolphin “star” Flipper, the funny exploits of Salty the Sea Lion and his friends, and the graceful beauty of the Pacific white-sided dolphins that perform with Lolita the killer whale. Other highlights include sharks and endangered manatees and sea turtles as well as an interactive stingray exhibit. Penguin Isle provides an up-close look at African penguins.

The 2-hour “Dolphin Odyssey and Dolphin Encounter” programs let participants interact one-on-one with dolphins in the water. The full experience includes an educational talk by a trainer and a session of feeding, touching, training and interacting with dolphins. Height and age restrictions do apply. Wet suits are provided. A wet/dry children's playground features a two-level pirate ship with water blasters, cargo nets and a spiral slide. Sharky's Sky Trail ropes course also is available.

Food is available. Time: Allow 4 hours, 30 minutes minimum.
