Fort De Soto Park is off I-275 exit 17 to 3500 Pinellas Bayway S.; two toll causeways are crossed en route. The 1,136-acre park occupies five keys: Bonne Fortune, Madelaine, Mullet, St. Christopher and St. Jean. Plants and wildlife are protected; pets must be leashed except at Paw Playground. Facilities include a beach, a 7-mile multipurpose trail, two fishing piers, a boat launch and a small museum.
Guided tours are available. Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Recreational activities are permitted. Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted. Food is available.
