Callanwolde Fine Arts Center is at 980 Briarcliff Rd. N.E. (MARTA: Edgewood/Candler Park station to bus #6). This 1920s Tudor Revival style, 27,000-square-foot mansion was built for Charles Howard Candler, eldest son of Asa Candler, the founder of The Coca-Cola Company. The 12-acre estate includes gardens, a conservatory, a carriage house and a restored pool house. Classes in the arts, rotating contemporary art gallery exhibits, performing arts events, a summer concert series and “Christmas at Callanwolde” are presented throughout the year.

The on-site café is open Mon. 2-8, Tues.-Thurs. 2-6, Fri. 2-9.

Food is available. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
