Sweetwater Creek State Park

Sweetwater Creek State Park is at 1750 Mt. Vernon Rd. This 2,549-acre park offers visitors an opportunity to see the ruins of a textile mill that was burned during the Civil War. The visitor center features wildlife and historic exhibits as well as offers trail maps. Recreational activities include hiking, fishing and picnicking. Ranger-led programs also are available.

Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Recreational activities are permitted. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
