Museum of Aviation, 10 mi. e. of I-75 exit 144 to jct. SR 247 and Russell Pkwy., features more than 95 aircraft, missiles and cockpits and 200,000 square feet of indoor exhibits housed in four buildings. Aircraft displays include a B-1B bomber, F-4D MiG killer, U-2 spy plane, MiG-17, SR-71 Blackbird, F-15 Eagle, B-29, a Global Hawk, B-17 Flying Fortress, P-51 Mustang and a 60-foot cutaway replica of a B-17 bomber. Exhibits describe the World War II D-Day Invasion, CBI Hump pilots of World War II, Tuskegee Airmen, Gen. Robert L. Scott Jr. and the 14th Air Force Flying Tigers. The Georgia Aviation Hall of Fame recognizes commercial and military aviation greats from across the state. One hangar is devoted entirely to aircraft, vehicles and equipment used in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War.

Comfortable walking shoes are advised.

Picnicking is permitted. Food is available. Time: Allow 3 hours minimum.
