Chief Vann House State Historic Site, Spring Pl. 1 mi. s. at 82 SR 225N, is the restored 1804 mansion of Chief James Vann, a Cherokee who sponsored the influential Springplace Moravian Mission next to his plantation. The house is part of a memorial to the Cherokee Nation and the Trail of Tears.

Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted.
