Crystal Gold Mine

Crystal Gold Mine is off I-90 exit 54 (Big Creek Rd.) westbound or I-90 exit 51 (N. Division St.) eastbound at 51931 Silver Valley Rd. The guided underground tours conducted by experienced miners provide an interesting glimpse into the hand-labor, hard-rock mining of the late 1800s. Gold, silver and smithsonite are visible inside the mine. The temperature inside the mine is 48 F; visitors should dress appropriately.

Camping is permitted. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
