AAA Editor Notes
Perrine Memorial Bridge, on the northern edge of town, spans the Snake River Canyon 486 feet above the water. The four-lane bridge has pedestrian walkways with views of sheer cliffs, the Blue Lakes, waterfalls, a park and two golf courses. A road descends to these areas. The Twin Falls Visitor Center is next to the bridge at the southwest end.

Daredevil Evel Knievel attempted to leap across the Snake River Canyon a mile east of the bridge in 1974; the dirt ramp used to launch his rocket-powered vehicle remains. The bridge is reputedly the only U.S. location where BASE jumping is permitted year-round without a permit. Spectators can view this extreme sport from overlooks. Exhibits highlight the recreational activities and history of the area.
