American Writers Museum

American Writers Museum is on the second floor at 180 N. Michigan Ave. Dedicated to American writers, the museum is filled with interactive, high-tech exhibits that engage visitors while taking them on a tour of the nation’s literary history. A touch table lets several users at a time explore American masterworks, while kiosks in the Home Town Authors gallery help visitors discover great writers who have lived in their area. Beloved books in a dizzying array of genres are represented. One gallery focuses on children’s books and another celebrates Chicago’s literary contributions.
