Glessner House

Glessner House, 1800 S. Prairie Ave., is an 1887 mansion built for John and Frances Glessner by renowned architect Henry Hobson Richardson. His nontraditional approach to Victorian design helped reform domestic architecture. Features include William Morris wallpaper and fabric as well as decorative arts and crafts by notable designers. Seventy-five-minute guided tours are offered.
