Ukrainian National Museum of Chicago is at 2249 W. Superior St. Dedicated to the history and culture of Ukraine, the museum features permanent displays of traditional Ukrainian embroidery and clothing, Ukrainian Easter eggs or “pysanky,” stamps, coins, folk art, household utensils and memorabilia from the Ukrainian pavilion at the 1933 Chicago World’s Fair.

One somber room has exhibits recounting the 1932-33 Holodomor famine, engineered by the Soviet government under Joseph Stalin, during which as many as 10 million people starved to death.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
