Cantigny Park is 2.5 mi. w. on W. Roosevelt Rd. (SR 38), then .2 mi. s.w. on Winfield Rd. The 500-acre grounds were formerly the property of Col. Robert R. McCormick, editor and publisher of the Chicago Tribune and a member of the First Infantry Division during World War I. The park includes 29 acres of formal gardens, wooded walks, two museums and picnic facilities. A floor map of the estate and a 10-minute orientation video are offered at the visitor center. Special events, workshops and concerts also are held on the grounds.

Museum and garden tours are offered. An audio tour by cellphone also is available.

Guided tours are available. Food is available. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
