Historic Nauvoo Visitors Center, Main and Hubbard sts., provides an introduction to the more than 30 restored homes, shops and religious buildings in Nauvoo's historic district. It also offers two films, “Remembering Nauvoo” and “Joseph Smith, Prophet of the Restoration,” displays and background information about the Mormon settlement 1839-46. Tickets for musical productions are available by reservation. Horse-drawn wagon and carriage rides are offered seasonally.
