Conner Prairie Interactive History Park is 6 mi. n. on Allisonville Rd. This 800-acre living-history park with various themed areas indoors depicts the lifestyles, values and experiences of Indiana settlers through five interpretive areas along the White River. The Conner Homestead includes the barn and restored 1836 Federal-style home of fur trader, entrepreneur and legislator William Conner.

Prairietown, a re-creation of a typical 1836 Midwestern settlement, shows costumed interpreters portraying fictional residents in re-enactments of elections, weddings, funerals and daily life tasks. Visitors can pitch in and help with chores for “wages” that can be used at Whitaker's Store. Delaware Indian history is explained at the Lenape Indian Camp. Discovery Station fosters children's imaginations by allowing them to play dress-up and help out at a farm, train station or market.

Guided tours are available. Food is available. Time: Allow 3 hours minimum.
