Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site is 1 mi. n. of Washington St. (US 40) at 1230 N. Delaware St. Built in 1874, the restored house contains original furnishings, personal belongings and political mementos of the 23rd president of the United States. Harrison occupied this 16-room Italianate Victorian mansion, except during his senate and presidential terms, until his death in 1901.

Artifacts include a collection of gowns belonging to both Mrs. Harrison and her daughter. T.C. Steele's portrait of President Harrison hangs in the front parlor. Permanent and changing exhibits are displayed in the third floor ballroom. A reconstructed carriage house contains a carriage room, stable and a bay that features special exhibits highlighting a collection of over 10,000 artifacts.
