AAA Editor Notes
Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library, 543 Indiana Ave., preserves the legacy of the Indianapolis-born writer and artist. Exhibits and collections—ranging from the Purple Heart Vonnegut earned in World War II to rejection letters to galley proofs and early editions of his novels—offer a glimpse into the author's life and explore the link between his military and literary careers.

You'll find Vonnegut's typewriter and some of his drawings and paintings, learn details about his family. Also on display, are a replica of the Vonnegut's desk as well as other artifacts and memorabilia related to his life and legacy.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 45 minutes minimum.
