The restaurant's location near a large Seagram's distillery is the origin of the "Whisky's" name. The dining rooms and bar have been cobbled together from a couple of older downtown buildings, so they have a rather crowded and disjointed appearance. The establishment is known for barbecue ribs, but the menu also offers a variety of steaks, seafood and pasta dishes. The lunch menu features tempting sandwiches along with "fry day" (Friday) specials such as fried tilapia with slaw and fries.
