AAA Editor Notes
Schroeder Saddletree Factory Museum is at 106 Milton St. The company, founded by a German immigrant in 1878, was one of 13 saddletree factories along the Ohio River in the 19th century. This factory, the only one of its kind in the United States, features a woodworking shop, a saw mill, a blacksmith shop and an assembly room, all of which have been preserved.

Demonstrations of antique equipment and guided tours explain the creation of wooden frames for saddle makers.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
