Kankakee State Fish and Wildlife Area

Kankakee State Fish and Wildlife Area is n. on SR 39, then 2.5 mi. w. to 4320 W. Toto Rd. The area lies along both sides of an 11-mile stretch of the Kankakee River and contains 4,095 acres in what was once the Kankakee Grand Marsh, Indiana's finest hunting and fishing district. Popular activities include fishing, bird-watching, canoeing, boating, and berry and mushroom picking.
