Classic Historic. Prepare for a wait—but don't worry—it's absolutely worth it. Stroud's has been Kansas City's home of pan-fried chicken for decades. The meals are served family-style, complete with large plates of sides to pass around. Every order comes with complimentary house-baked cinnamon rolls that are so good you won't be able to resist begging for a couple extra to take home. The restaurant is in a home built in 1803 and it retains its rustic charm. The walls are adorned with period pieces as well as artifacts recovered during renovations on the site.
