Santa Fe Trail Center Museum and Library, 2 mi. w. on SR 156, depicts the history of one of America’s most important frontier pathways as well as the lifestyles of early Kansas pioneers. Permanent displays include a Wichita Indian hunting lodge, mounted buffalo, a freight wagon, period rooms, a sod house, a limestone cooling house, a one-room schoolhouse, an early African American church and a dugout house. Changing exhibits also are presented.
