General Butler State Resort Park

General Butler State Resort Park, 2 mi. s.e. to 1608 SR 227, is a multiuse, year-round recreation area. Facilities include basketball courts, a nine-hole golf course and tennis courts. A variety of water sports and a miniature golf course are available seasonally. The SR 227 entrance features an extensive memorial to Kentucky veterans. The park is named after the state’s heralded Butler family, whose members were prominent military leaders from the Revolutionary through the Civil wars; their 19th-century home, within the park, can be toured.

Recreational activities are permitted. Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted. Food is available.
