AAA Editor Notes
Hardin County History Museum is at 201 W. Dixie Ave. The museum features permanent and changing exhibits as well as a collection of artifacts and memorabilia relating pioneer life and the history of the county, the first recorded exploration of which occurred in 1766. Civil War relics, a replica of an early log cabin, medical paraphernalia and tools used by a local doctor and an exhibit detailing the historical contributions of African Americans born locally are displayed.

Guided tours are offered during museum hours and also by appointment.
