Kansas State University Insect Zoo is .7 mi. e. on Claflin Rd., then .1 mi. n. to 1500 Denison Ave. on the university’s campus. Among the zoo’s exhibits are freshwater and Amazonian rain forest displays, a honeybee observatory and a leaf-cutter ant colony spread throughout the building, viewable via glass panes and tubing. Terraria house a variety of arthropods including millipedes, scorpions, tarantulas and walking sticks; visitors may interact with selected insects during guided tours.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 45 minutes minimum.
