Cave Hill Cemetery

Cave Hill Cemetery, at the e. end of Broadway, is both a cemetery and a botanical garden with more than 280 labeled tree species. The cemetery contains the graves of surveyor and frontiersman Gen. George Rogers Clark and Col. Harland Sanders, of Kentucky Fried Chicken fame. In addition, marble headstones mark Civil War-era graves in Cave Hill’s national cemetery section. Louisville history as well as the cemetery’s monuments and geological elements are discussed during several tours offered.

Motorcycles, motor homes, bicycles, pets and picnicking are prohibited.
