Frazier Kentucky History Museum is at 829 W. Main St. at 9th St. The Frazier documents stories from history using exhibits, artifacts and live performances. The permanent collection highlights a wide array of historically significant artifacts of Kentucky and America, including Teddy Roosevelt's “big stick,” Geronimo's bow and arrows and the arrest warrant of Mary Todd Lincoln. Other noteworthy objects include a surplus grave marker from the Battle of Little Bighorn, a first edition of Uncle Tom's Cabin and Bourbon history artifacts dating from pre-prohibition to today.

Cool Kentucky spotlights artists, craftsmen. scientists, chefs, musicians and other notable figures from the Bluegrass State. The Commonwealth: Divided We Fall depicts the lives of everyday Kentuckians from the Ice Age to the present. The Stewart Historic Miniatures Collection houses one of the largest collections of toy soldiers and historic miniatures on permanent public display in the world. The Spirit of Kentucky takes a look at America's only native spirit, while the Lewis and Clark Experience allows visitors to view a Sioux tipi replica and a 55-foot cutaway of Lewis and Clark's keelboat, or by trying their hands at animal tracking and exploring secret passages.

The official starting point on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, the museum offers The Spirit of Kentucky exhibition which features an in-depth look at Bourbon whiskey. A covered bridge-style path leads visitors into the 3rd floor exhibit that starts with the state's physical features that are conducive to Bourbon making and ends in Bottle Hall where every brand of Bourbon currently produced in the state is displayed—some 500 bottles. Bourbon tastings and tours are offered in the Welcome Center on the first floor of the museum. The multimedia production KentuckyShow! is presented daily and takes a look at the people, sights and sounds of the state.
