Built in 1907 as a department store, this building has been reincarnated as a sparkling new hotel featuring spacious, modern guest rooms appointed with dark hardwood furniture and silken white linens. The expansive lobby is appointed with a variety of artwork and unique lighting fixtures. The front entrance, decorated with lovely Corinthian columns, is separated from the lobby by a glass fountain. Some of the suites here have their own patio commanding fine views of the city. Others have retractable skylights. Be sure to stop in the lobby for the manager's reception that is held every evening.
