Historic Diamond Caverns

Historic Diamond Caverns, 1.2 mi. n. on SR 255 (Mammoth Cave Pkwy.) off I-65 exit 48, is one of the nation’s oldest show caves. The caverns, with a constant temperature of 58°F, contain stalactite and stalagmite formations and drapery and flowstone deposits. One-hour, .5-mile guided tours are offered.

Note: The guided tour’s paths contain more than 350 stair steps; visitors are advised to wear good walking shoes.
