Fort Boonesborough State Park, off SR 627 to SR 388, contains a re-creation of the fort built by Daniel Boone in 1775. Artisans demonstrate 18th-century trades and skills, April through October. Films shown in the orientation blockhouse depict the pioneers’ struggle at the fort. The Kentucky Museum offers insight into the lives of the families who lived in the area in the 1900s. Riverside interpretive trails pass native plants and unusual geological sites. Picnicking, camping, fishing, swimming and a miniature golf course are available.

Recreational activities are permitted. Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
