The New Orleans Jazz Museum is at 400 Esplanade Ave. in an 1835 structure that was a federal mint from 1838-1961. Located where the Frenchmen Street corridor for live music and the French Quarter intersect, the museum pays tribute to jazz and New Orleans music history with educational programs for all ages, interactive exhibits and research facilities as well as musical performances.

Listen to some of the top New Orleans contemporary jazz artists in the live music hall on the third floor. The advanced acoustics enhance your experience while the performance is recoded to be kept in the historical archives. Concerts, evening programs and special events also are held in the ultramodern performance venue on the third floor. The Louisiana Historical Center is on-site and regular performances are offered by the New Orleans Jazz National Historic Park rangers.
