Chef Alon Shaya has taken his grandmother's traditional Israeli recipes and creatively tweaked them to make them his own. Expect a continuous flow of hot pita bread, fresh out of the wood-fired oven. Pair it with creamy hummus, topped with ingredients like curried, fried cauliflower, soft-cooked egg and beef cheeks. The selection of large plates is limited, but there is a large variety of small plates from which to choose. Sharing is encouraged, so bring your friends and try a little of everything! A sampling of the small plates includes crispy Persian rice, falafel and lamb kabob. Desserts are just as enticing; try the warm chocolate babka, Turkish coffee cake and labneh cheesecake with burnt honey ice cream.
