Benjamin Nye Homestead & Museum is off SR 6A at 85 Old County Rd. This Colonial residence was the home of Benjamin Nye, an early Sandwich settler who in 1669 built one of the first grist mills in the country. Occupied by the Nye family until 1910, the house is filled with period antiques, including spinning wheels, early cooking implements, handwoven sheets, toys and rope trundle beds.
