Lowell National Historical Park, off Lowell Connector exit 5B, following signs to the visitor center at 246 Market St., commemorates Lowell's pioneering role in the American Industrial Revolution. The park includes cotton textile mills, workers' housing, a 5.6-mile power canal system and industrial exhibits. The visitor center includes exhibits and a 20-minute video titled “Lowell: The Continuing Revolution.”

Guided walking tours are available. Boat tours along the Pawtucket Canal as well as 75-minute tours aboard reproductions of 1901 electric trolley cars are offered seasonally.
