Fenway Park is at 4 Jersey St.; guided tour tickets are sold at the Gate D Ticket Booth at Jersey St. and Van Ness St. Opened in 1912, the country's oldest operating MLB stadium is sacred ground to generations of Boston Red Sox fans. No stranger to exaggerated kisses and caresses from kowtowing first-timers, the storied baseball cathedral boasts such distinctive features as a right field foul pole nicknamed the “Pesky Pole” and the Green Monster, the famous 37.167-foot-tall left field wall only 310 feet from home plate. Outside Gate B, at Ipswich and Van Ness streets, “The Teammates” bronze statue depicts four Red Sox legends and lifelong friends—Dom DiMaggio, Bobby Doerr, Johnny Pesky and Ted Williams.

Visitors can discover the history and secrets of Fenway during a 1-hour narrated tour. Knowledgeable guides highlight the red Ted Williams seat and the operation of the stadium's manual scoreboard. The tour also discusses the ballpark's design as well as the nine-time World Series champs' most memorable players and owners. On occasion, tour patrons are allowed to check out the view from the press box and see the State Street Pavilion Club. Other specialty tours, including a game-day Pre-Game Tour, also are offered.

Note: Bags must be single-compartment and no larger than 12"x12"x6". Backpacks, backpack-style purses, duffel bags, and other multi-compartment bags are NOT permitted. Exceptions will be made for diaper bags and bags containing essential medical equipment. All bags will be subject to search.

Guided tours are available. Food is available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
