AAA Editor Notes
Sandwich Glass Museum, 129 Main St. (SR 130), preserves and displays more than 6,000 pieces of glass manufactured in Sandwich. Exhibits of table lamps, vases, candlesticks and decorative glass are arranged chronologically and include pressed, lacy, colored, enameled, blown, engraved and cut glass. The coloring process of glass as well as glassmaking techniques that include blowing, pressing and cutting are demonstrated. A multimedia presentation, “The Glass House,” is shown in the theater. Changing exhibits also are offered.
