Mount Tom State Reservation is off I-91 exit 17A, then 4 mi. n. on US 5. The reservation covers 2,082 acres on the western slope of Mount Tom, which rises 1,214 feet above the Connecticut Valley floor. The park's precipitous ridge is forested with pine, hemlock, hardwoods and spruce.

Recreational activities are permitted. Picnicking is permitted.

$6 (per private out-of-state vehicle); $5 (per private in-state vehicle).
Daily 8-8, Memorial Day-Labor Day; 8-6, day after Labor Day-Columbus Day; 8-4, rest of year. Phone ahead to confirm schedule.
