Frelinghuysen Morris House & Studio

Frelinghuysen Morris House & Studio is 1 mi. s. on SR 183, .3 mi. s. on Old Stockbridge Rd., then .8 mi. w. to 92 Hawthorne St. The former home of American abstract artists Suzy Frelinghuysen and George L.K. Morris, this Bauhaus-inspired building features paintings by Georges Braque, Juan Gris, Fernand Léger and Pablo Picasso as well as American Cubist art and original Art Deco furnishings. On the 46-acre wooded grounds are nature trails and the sculpture “The Mountain” by French artist Gaston Lachaise.
