Nantucket Shipwreck & Lifesaving Museum

Nantucket Shipwreck & Lifesaving Museum is at 158 Polpis Rd. More than 700 shipwrecks have been documented around Nantucket; this museum is dedicated to those who have risked their lives for others. Displayed are lifesaving equipment, surfboats, historical photographs and shipwreck memorabilia. The museum is housed in a building with an exterior replica of the Surfside Lifesaving Station.
