Air Zoo is off I-94 exit 78, then 1 mi. s. to 6151 Portage Rd. Visitors are immersed in the world of flight with full-motion flight simulators, indoor amusement park-style rides, a 4-D movie theater and a 3-D mission to the International Space Station. More than 50 rare and historic aircraft, many of which flew during World War II, chronicle the early days of flight through the modern jet era. Displays include an F-14 Tomcat like the one featured in the film “Top Gun” as well as an SR-71B Blackbird spy plane. Air Zoo volunteers restoring aircraft are happy to interact with visitors when possible.

Space: Dare to Dream is an interactive exhibit paying tribute to the explorers who traveled to space by pushing the limits of Earth's gravity; it tells the story of flight from man's first glimpse of the stars to modern space travel to the future of the industry. Other historical exhibits include the Michigan Aviation Hall of Fame and an exhibit honoring the contributions of women in space and aviation. Murals and artwork throughout the museum celebrate air and space flight. Visitors can track a tiger and her two cubs at the high-tech new interactive exhibit TIGERS: Tracking a Legend.

Food is available.
