The Henry Ford is at 20900 Oakwood Blvd. This five-venue complex commemorates 300 years of the American experience through exhibits, tours, programs and special events.

Henry Ford Museum celebrates American innovative genius. National treasures include presidential limousines, the chair in which Abraham Lincoln was assassinated and a folding camp bed used by George Washington. Visitors can climb aboard the bus where Rosa Parks performed her brave act of civil disobedience in Montgomery, Ala. The museum also includes a giant-screen theater as well as temporary touring exhibits.

In Greenfield Village more than 90 acres include seven historic districts with buildings of historic significance. Vintage transportation, skilled artisans and costumed presenters can be seen daily. Important sites include the Ford Birthplace, Wright Cycle Shop and Noah Webster House. The Benson Ford Research Center’s reading room is open to the public.

Comfortable shoes are recommended. Time: Allow a full day.
