Historic. Late Queen Anne Victorian architecture is the hallmark of this historic former inn that has been providing hospitality for the past three centuries. Every aspect of the three formal dining rooms is a nod to the restaurant's historic past, from the moldings to the lace-covered windows to the delicate teacups and saucers. The menu changes daily, but the house signature dishes that always are available include beef Wellington, rack of lamb, poached salmon and Lake Superior whitefish. High tea also is offered. Legend has it that the ghosts of the inn's first owner, the former hostess of the house, and a small child often make appearances while guests are dining.
