Our Lady of the Woods Shrine

Our Lady of the Woods Shrine, just w. of SR 33 on SR 72 at 100 Deyarmond St., features replicas of Roman Catholic Marian shrines from around the world. Our Lady of Czestochowa, Our Lady of Fatima, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Our Lady of LaSalette, Our Lady of Lourdes and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel are represented. There also are three cave-like grottoes and a life-size crucifix and Stations of the Cross.
A portion of the shrine is dedicated to the state of Michigan. Waterfalls on the site are meant to symbolize God's blessings; the grounds also include flowers and shade trees.
