Ida B. Wells-Barnett Museum is at 220 N. Randolph St. Occupying the restored antebellum Spires Bolling House, it honors the legacy of Holly Springs native Ida B. Wells-Barnett (1862-1931), a journalist, teacher, civil rights pioneer, crusader against racism and women’s rights activist. Visitors can watch a documentary about her life, and one room showcases a collection of her awards and personal belongings.

The museum displays a collection of African and African American art as well as changing art exhibits. Visitors also can use the genealogy room.
