Strawberry Plains Audubon Center is 3.2 mi. n. on SR 311 from jct. SR 178/SR 7, then .3 mi. n.e. to 285 Plains Rd. It features more than 2,500 acres of natural and preserved environment comprising creeks, fields, gardens and 14 miles of nature trails. Visitors can tour the Davis House, a restored antebellum mansion inhabited while Strawberry Plains served as a cotton farm from the 1830s through the 1950s. Educational programs and hikes allow visitors to learn about the site's ecology, birds and wildlife.

Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
