Cape Rock is 2 mi. n.e. via SR 177 and E. Cape Rock Dr. Views of the Mississippi River are particularly scenic from this bluff, said to be the site of Jean Baptiste Girardot's 1733 trading post. Nothing remains of the original settlement.
