Six Flags St. Louis, off I-44 at 4900 Six Flags Rd., has more than 100 rides, shows and attractions. The park's lineup of roller coasters includes American Thunder, an eight-story-tall wooden coaster; Boomerang; The Boss; Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast; Batman: The Ride; Screamin' Eagle; Ninja; Pandemonium; and the River King Mine Train. Other thrill rides include the Superman: Tower of Power free-fall ride and Skyscreamer, a 236-foot-tall swing ride.

Just for kids, Bugs Bunny National Park offers eight rides, a tree house play structure and an interactive fountain. Visitors also can experience Thunder River, a white-water raft ride; Colossus, an 18-story Ferris wheel; Xcalibur's spinning wheel and the family-friendly Tsunami Soaker ride, featuring nine spinning boats equipped with huge water guns.

Hurricane Harbor, a 12-acre tropical-themed water park that is free with park admission, has a wave pool, a lazy river, a five-story tree house, speed and tube slides, the funnel-shaped Tornado ride and the Bonzai Pipeline body slide, which features Skybox launching capsules.

Weekends in October offer haunted houses, spooky-themed attractions, Halloween shows and coaster riding in the dark. On select days November through December, enjoy a winter wonderland as the park is illuminated by thousands of festive lights for Holiday in the Park which also features holiday treats and seasonal entertainment for the whole family.
